Vrs grill badge on FL

Featured Replies

Can you remove it fully? Or does it leave a 'tab'

Are you a low budget actor looking for a more discrete car to not attract a lot of attention from the paparazzi who doesn't like leather or spoilers?? :giggle::D I jest however I think some will know what im on about.

I am not sure but you must be able to see from inside of grill to give an idea my old Mk1 Fabia's was just stuck on. I imagine someone who knows more shall be along shortly.

I wish!

Sounds daft but I will be using the car for work. I do site surveys (contaminated land) for land purchase and as a result end up abandoning the car is some pretty grim areas in Salford / Manchester / liverpool etc whilst on site....

Tends to be idiots looking at your car so any clue to what it is needs to be obvious if you know what I mean.

Most lads on the street will know exactly what it is and debadging it will not make the slightest difference.

With spoiler it would be a give away if its somewhere bad bad and no choice I used to leave glove box empty and open and absolutely nothing on show in car not easiest thing to steal without keys.

I would stick on a Yeti badge, then no one will touch it! :p

I enquired about this when I collected mine from the dealer. I have removed the ones from the rear but according to the main dealer the front mounting plate is glued on, so it is a new grill insert at £35. It also needs dismantling to get the insert out and reassembling to get the new one in. I have no idea how you do this, so if anyone knows i would appreciate the info.

This was something I was really keen to do, but then i noticed all of the seats have vRS on them anyway, so its a kind of give away, maybe some time.

I know people think its mad, but I like more discreet cars, one of the reasons i bought the vRS, The dealer told me it was one of the best things about the car, to which I replied if thats a fact you can keep it.

Hope this helps.

Please no, but didn't the geezer in question want much the same as the OP?

I guess lol will be along soon to say buy a 1.8TSI.....

Sounds intriguing, linky.....?

To be frank if the area is that dodgy they will nick or damage any new car surely? Is a VRS really that much more likely to get taken than any other Octy?

Agree that taking the badges off will have little effect anyway.
