Only put on UTUBE 7th Sept 2011....not that old..... :giggle: ....any reason as to why it was done.......as they also did a Fabia estate mkii, Octi Scout mkii, and a Superb!!!

I would say that a Yeti driver took offence, but I am speculating!

Pathetic waste of money then!Obviously don`t like any Skodas I have an opinion about BMW drivers!

And prats who roar around in souped up taxis! :D

Cant wait for the sequel..............JCB V Challenger tank :giggle:

Be nice if the Top Gear helicopter could attack that JCB.

Yes, I objected, not about the video, but about the sarcastic way the thread was worded, considering some of the abuse we had been subjected to at the time of the original posting.

Before you all go into one, have you considered that this could be a legitimate vehicle destruction. Manufacturers often have brand new vehicles for which they will use them to for product development. These non standard vehicles will not be type approved, can't be sold and can't be used for parts (possibly for tax reasons), so when they are finished with they are destroyed.

Maybe this company has the contract to destroy them. You could consider it as a sacrifice so that you can enjoy your developed Yetis.

So did I for exactly the same reason.

yes, development testing I think?

On the superb II forum, the one they destroy appears to have every airbag deployed, though the superb looks unmarked.

As FordFan says, these vehicles cannot go on the road, there was a feature in Autocar a few years ago, one of the Astra "mules" had to be killed.

I have no problem with the video, in any way, and fully understand why vehicles some vehicles need to be destroyed.

Looks like a citroen in the end!

Seems like a very laborious way to get rid of a car, and why not just for lob it in a crusher?

I didn't even know Brimma could drive a jcb ;-)

It seems to me that the Yeti put up a decent fight... a bit like bullfighting, you end up having more respect for the bull than the matador...

Oi! See car on left, currently ‘resting’ but Licensed London Taxi Driver. If I had feelings I'd be hurt.

Saaf of the water this time of night, yer aving a bubble.

Aving a bubble??

Surely you mean...

Aving a tin barf??

If you look in the background in the Fabia II being destroyed you can see fire service vehicles, I guess its for them to use as crashed vehicles and training?
