Those tyres are massive! What size are they?

Your speedo will be under reading I bet.

Glad to help you out. :) Tyres do look a little bit big. :D

Did you get the alloy wheel sorted out that had the bubble wrap imprints all over it? :)

They Are 225/45, think they are a little big. think i should have gone for 225/40 or /35??

do you have any pics of the mongrel with them on??

I have a pic of similar 6 spoke Audi wheels with correct tyre size on (215/40 R17)

Okay :dull: i was told that these were the correct sizes by an audi technician. never mind.

For an Audi S3 maybe, not for a Fabia. ;) I'd be heading back PDQ moaning the tyres are rubbing on the arches! :D

They are the correct size for an S3 not a Fabia, you need 205/40 17 as stated.

Your speedo will be out and they normally rub on the left hand rear arch with those tyres on.

Here's how 205/40/17 looks on mine:

They look nice- defo go back regarding the tyres thou :)

Go back, they're sooo big.

I have even wider wheels than those (8J compared to 7.5J) and I'm running 205/40 and I still rub a bit! I couldn't imagine 225/45. That's huge!

We'll been back today and they are putting the right tyres on. But on the condition that they can sell the old ones. So back to square 1 and I have no alloys on and my steelies are back on. Let's hope not for long

And on another note how much for back discs and pads??

The car is 1.4 16v. And where is the best place to buy them from???

I'm having my back discs and pad changes tomorrow Yay. but thinking about painting the callipers, I thought maybe yellow with the black alloys what you think??

What Do We Think

Better than before definately. You shouldn't experience any issues with that size either :)

You didn't read my post in the tech section did you???

http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/217351-oem-tyre-sizes-and-alternatives/

OEM tyre size = 205/45 R16 has a R/C of 1856.37mm....-2.5%= 1809.96mm....+2.5%= 1902.78mm

What you originally put on = 225/45 R17 R/C = 1992.71mm....THIS WOULD MAKE YOUR SPEEDO OUT BY 7.34%!!!!!! :o

Glad you got them changed!!!!
