I used to have a 280 as well reg E26 UWE sometimes wish id never sold her! Heres a pic.

Dmac1969vRS You should have kept it, it looks really smart. will try and remember to take a photo of mine to post. If you used to go to local shows it used to put in an apperance with its previous owner.

the reg no. is MIB 527 and it used to waer a pair of 7inch Cibie super oscars.

ps you should try to come to Whitley Bay as it would be good to meet you.

The last 'local' capri show i went to was one near Durham circa 1995-6 (at some castle - holiday park out by Crook), in my white 2.8i D500 WCN. I have some pics from the show , so I will have a gander and see if your car was in attendance. Might get down to WB , will see what's on nearer the time.

PS I bought the 280 at Whitley Bay (whitley bay motor company) in 1998!
