Greenline needs new boots

Featured Replies

Hi all, my greenline has 28,000 plus miles on I need at least 2 new boots. They have the Contipremium contact2 at the moment. What have you replaced yours with or have you kept them the same?

Cheers

My 2011 GL Combi is fitted with Conti PremiumContact 2 E tyres which I have been impressed with, however, only time will tell whether they last longer than the Michelin Energy tyres fitted to my Superb 1.9Tdi S.

The main issue with both these tyres is the lack of rim protection which means you have to be very careful when parking not to kerb the 16" Spectrum alloy wheels.

Alternatively, for a slightly grippier alternative, Michelin Primacy's are highly rated. I've used this tyre on both Octy's and Superb's and confirm it is quiet, grippy in all conditions and has a long life. That said, it does not have the lower rolling resistance of the 'green' tyres.
