Fabia VRS PD130 Questions.

Featured Replies

Evening all, im new the Skoda World, just bought my VRS pd130.

Bought it completely standard, already had a few changes. :)

Got a couple of questions,

how are the headlights removed, ive found 3 bolts, 2 on top and one on the center on each side, is there some more?

Also anyone seen or heard of any uprated wastegates on these to get abit more release noise, as ive heard the dump valves are pretty crappy on the Diesels?

Finally, on a boost gauge, where would you wire it too, as on a previous Petrol tfsi we did it to the re-circulating valve, where would it go on my engine?

Any help would be mucho appreciated.

Heres some pictures of the Car, had it lowered on AP coilovers, Mapped by The Phirm with a Stage 1 Revo map, Put on the LCR Splitter, and taken off the bump strips.

Only a few plans, including getting some nice wheels ready for after the winter, but thats about it.

lemme know what you think and if you can help me at all.

Cheers, Tobe (Sure you coulda guessed that from the plate :D).

Nice legal plate. ;)

The bolts are two on top at each side, one on front on inside, but there is one sneaky one right down the back, in the middle. ;)

boost gauge needs tapping into the actual boost intake pipework. Mine uses my Allard EGR delete pipe as it came with a pre-made tap for a boost gauge. Otherwise you need to install some kind of bolt with a hole through it and a nipple on to attach the pipe to the gauge. Also, you will need a gauge that goes to 2 bar on a diesel. Most petrol turbo gauges only go to around 1 bar / 15psi - these are useless on a TDI. I use a 2.5 bar gauge.

Ignore anything about wastegates, etc. There are upgraded complete turbo options out there.

Nice car, cool plates. De-wipered on the rear to.

Standard wheels ftw :)

looks a little different to the normal grommots, is it a cork out of a wine bottle?
