Retro fit Climate

Featured Replies

How hard is it to do? is it just a simple fascia swap or do you have to install the temperature sensors etc

I don't think there is anything simple about it, although I have never ever carried out an exercise such as that. So I could be wrong. The cost would be fairly high too I would imagine as you'd need a new dash with everything that involves. I don't know if the compressor and gubins is all the same either. On Nissan's range, the gubins differed when they offered the same Skoda type options for aircon.

Someone once suggested that the cost of doing something similar in an Octavia would be in the region of £5k

I'd stick with standard if I were you

(I presume you meant upgrading from climatic to climatronic)

I wonder why Skoda dropped the climatic system from the Fabia, it had been fitted from the start of the Mk1?

I like the Climatic better than the fully auto Climatronic in the Elegance but Skoda started fitting manual aircon last year.
