Took my boot trim off to change a number plate bulb, what's the easy way of putting it back on? Was it put the clips in the hatch rather than on the trim?

Ive never really managed to get mine on properly since I've had the car... I always think its right but it ends up detaching itself sooner or later... :(

Yes, put the metal clips on the hatch first.

Don't forget to put the strap through the slot before you fit the trim though :no:

I remember about the strap forgot it last time and had to take it off again lol

Gonna attempt it in the morning hopefully it won't take me 2 days again lol

Get in the boot with the hatch open is the best way I thought.

Get ******* frustrated and hope for the best with lots of random banging. That is how I did it.

Ok, this may only apply to the estate, but I found that fit one end and get a friend to hold it up while you bang the other in was the easiest way.

As for the strap, put a loop of string through it to help with guiding and possibly recovering it!
