None of the GTs came with 312mm brakes.

They're fitted to mk1 Audi TT, Golf 4 Anniversary, Skoda Octavia VRS MK1, Golf 4 V5 170,Golf 4 V6 4 Motion

I'm fairly certain you need spacers to run R32 calipers.

what size are on r32s like?

R32 is 345mm - damn huge!

I think the only mk4 with 312s as stock is the GTI anniversary edition, and fairly sure they only came in 1.8T form (180bhp I think)

I don't believe any of the diesel mk4s ever came with anything bigger than 288s.

MKIV R32s are 334mm

MKV R32s are 345mm (and will never fit a fabia)

Broadly speaking 312mm brakes came on any mk4 based car with more than 150bhp standard (excluding the Leon Cupra R & R32). This includes the V5 170 and AUQ engined 1.8T (also used in the Anni)

There was never a standard mk4 tdi with 170bhp - the most powerful was the ARL engined 150bhp version (with 288mm front brakes or 312mm for the anni diesel)

just bought some off ebay, from a golf 4 motion mk4, pads carriers calipers and disks

question, will my brake lines off my 288s fit? as it doesnt look like these have lines connected

Your brake hoses will be fine, I'd advise getting new copper crush washers though!

Should cost pennies from any decent motor factor!

I've never felt the need to upgrade to bigger brakes mine stops really well.

Try driving a van all week then jump in the vrs, the standard brakes are fine believe me.

They fit between the banjo fitting and the caliper....they seal the hose fitting to the caliper....the same as a sump plug washer!... B)

+1

My mates A3 s-line 2.0 tdi 170 bhp runs 288 brakes.

If they can stop that it can stop my little fabia.
