Tiny little mini clamps?

Featured Replies

I can't keep my boost pressure pipe popping off the end of my boost gauge. I've tried super-gluing it on and tightening a cable tie around it as hard as I can but it still pops off.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Jubilee clip

Smaller bore pipe fitted inside boost pipe or in place of it ??

What sort of diameter is the pipe?

Clear Araldite, never seen this stuff fail.

It's about £5 in halfords.

You not gonna get a clip that small for your pipe.

Zip tie?

Use saftey wire or Tieing wire, its used in the motocross world for securing handle bar grips to the handle bars, ive used it on my grips with no glue and they havent moved yet.

Cut a length, wrap it round, twist, place 'specail' pliers (they're good, but mole grip do the job) on the twist, rotate till the 'noose' tightens round the pipe, cut excess and smile! Cant tighten to tight, the wire will break but its cheap  If it still pops off, double the wire up and twist it so it looks like a piece of 'rope' and try it again, will be able to go tighter :)

Robbie's solution is the only one that could work. 7mm is still too big IMO.

Single ear pinch clip should do it, we use them to hold on washer pipes that are 6mm ish, should be the same as boost gauge pipe.

Seems a good alternative, but do they clamp hard enough to with-stand high pressures? Cant imagine theres much pressure in washer pipes unless you have a super soaker mod fitted

Thanks guys.

If that still fails change the hose to fuel hose with the same internal diameter, thus having metal cords inside, and a larger outside diameter. Then use metal hose clips to secure them, alot stronger than jubilee clips
