Hi, the gearbox in my SDI is noisy and I'd like to change it. Does anyone know what other vehicle transmissions will fit as my local scrappy has loads of VW/Audi/Seat but not much in the way of Octavias.

Might be worth trying to change the gearbox oil first. That quite often quietens the box down abit

I put a golf sdi gearbox in my octavia, people that buy an sdi golf usually are older careful drivers and you never see a golf sdi taxi! its not a hard job ( 4 hours)
