I have a 2006 2.0 vrs and over the last few days, upon startup my dash (non maxidot) displays "600" and a spanner icon. I assume this means 600 miles til next service, but interestingly I've done about 200 miles or so since it first came on and it still says "600" which is why I'm questioning whether I am correct in my assumption?

If you're on variable it's an estimate a based on how you drive. When mine was on variable it certainly went from 600 to 0 in less than 600 miles.

It's more predictable on fixed servicing. 500 means 500.
