I've got a load of old video camera tapes of my sisters kids that they would like converting to DVD so have been thinking of a USB video cature dongle like an Easycap, or this:

No idea mate cos I never used it but on me your address and you can have this one for freeeeeeeeee

I have used an Easy Capture device with a laptop in my car to record some drive to work footage, it seemed to do a suitable job.

I used mine (at the time) on Win XP (not sure if mine has w7 drivers, but I guess they might be available now).
