Odd behaviour from stream MP3 radio

Featured Replies

My radio has been behaving oddly this last week.

It started randomly putting up "No CD" when I had the radio on and hadn't hit the CD button (slot was empty).

Now it's started locking up and not registering button presses.

This morning I started the car it fired up playing the CD from the changer that was on from before. It wouldn't register any button pushes at all even after switching the radio off and on and the ignition off and on.

I stopped the car and ejected the CD that was playing and after that it was fine without switching off or changing anything.

Is there a reboot option on the stream radio?

Not that I know of, but disconnecting your battery for half an hour might do the same.

I started getting increasingly weird symptoms like these from my Stream MP3 radio. It had never been quite right in all the time I owned the car and began getting more temperamental. The dealer looked at it twice and said they couldn't find anything wrong with it and I eventually bought a secondhand Stream MP3 from someone on this forum, which has worked faultlessly since I fitted it.

Some Streams were just dodgy I think, loads were replaced under warranty but I didn't fancy the more basic 'Dance' model that dealers now fit in replacement.
