Stage 2 Complete

Featured Replies

Had my car back today after having new hybrid turbo and seat sport intercooler fitted and tuned to 242 bhp with 332lb/ft torque. WOW - goes like the clappers as my old Dad used to say. Will post dyno run graph once I've scanned it.

So I now have a turbo and intercooler for sale if anyones interested - I know this isn't the place to advertise and I'll post on the correct board aswell.

Stage 2 Hybrid PD 160 Turbo from Turbo Dynamics and a Seat Sport Intercooler with Forge Alloy Pipework - work done at Performance Torque near Wolverhampton - top blokes

How much for the lot?

Price just for intercooler and pipe working? Can pay now if price is right! PM me.

Will is really helpful so thumbs up to him as well

What else did you have to uprate to push 242bhp out of a vRS? Clutch surely?

I considered ptorque for my stage one remap when I was looking as they aren't far from me.

But I heard so much stuff about shark I've still not made my mind up.!!!

Some more thinking to do before January when I'm planning to take the plunge.... So tempted lol!

Will is a top bloke

Has remapped two cars for me now and will use him to do a custom remap soon.

Had a lot of prep work done last May to get the car ready for the stage 2 - Sachs Performance Clutch - Miltek DeCat Downpipe and Pipercross Induction Kit. Also have VMaxx Coilovers, Curpa Bushes and RARB to improve handling. Only thing I have planned now are 312mm front brakes.

What rollers was it run on babe?

Just my opinion but I would definately speak to Will at P-Torque. He knows thecar well and customises his MAPs / Tuning to suit the car and its capabilities.

I mean what turbo and intercooler are you selling? Lol

Surely some dodgy rollers there.

Bit optimistic for only having a exhaust and turbo for a bolt on 112bhp increase

Here we go again!! emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

Ah, the old roller discussion. I had my Leon mapped at P-Torque, on Will's rollers it did 196bhp/323lbft, on a local Dyno Dynamics 6 months later it did 186bhp/318lbft. So maybe a small over-read, or maybe just different conditions but I wouldn't put Will's rollers in the same league as someone like Awesome's... ;)

He has fmic too

mine made 240.1bhp on amd's rollers with the same mods tbh

another mates made 238, and another 243bhp

fmic, exhaust, turbo

its believable, but prob optimistic dyno, or pessimistic dynos that make them look optimistic...

just because X dyno says one fabia vrs is 130bhp doesn't mean the same dyno will show that a cupra r is 225 for example, diff range will be affected differently, and all manufacturs use diff dynos anyway tbh

**** it, if its showing 240bhp then its gunna be quick, even if its optimistic

x

and begin the argument about the figures......

Nice one Luke ;)

As for the dyno results.. who cares ! I should get mine done too out of curiosity i think, but i've always said, as have others, it's how it drives :)

Just a comment on the P-Torque rollers, if that's where it was done, my Leon 20VT was dyno'd there. It made ~180bhp even with a Stage 1 map, so it can't be too optimistic. This then sparked the whole controversy with the remap possibly being dodgy or my car being faulty which ultimately resulted in some massive m0rk moderation and thread deletion chaos on SCN... Such a stupid community that is.
