My Options for bluetooth installation on my new Yeti

Featured Replies

Right i was out of the country when my wife ordered the car so was unable to do a double check on the final spec of our new Yeti SE Greenline and somehow i managed to miss during the build period that we did not have bluetooth specced.

So i have been reading up on some of the guides and retrofits that other people have been doing and there seems to be a lot of various options and different installs available and I'm unable to determine which would possibly be the best option for me.

So ill list the spec of the yeti and if someone with more knowledge than me could possibly list some solutions please....

Yeti SE Greenline 2 61 plate

Has the Bolero Stereo fitted.

And has a 3 spoke Multifunction steering wheel

Also has the Maxidot display in white and black

I would like to have a fully integrated system which i can use through the radio and also on the steering wheel and possibly show up on my maxi dot display and would also like to stream bluetooth music also.

Here is some pics of my setup on the Yeti.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated....

Don't want to hijack this thread but it is interesting to note that your steering wheel has thumb bulges!!!!! Just like Rockhopper's Octavia vRS wheel he fitted to his Yeti. Interesting... Do they all now have that?! My bluetooth enabled wheel (that has a telephone instead of the "recycle arrow" image does not have these bulges.

OK back OT: there are many threads on this eg:

Just do a Google search instead of a forum search. In the search box type:

site: briskoda.net bluetooth

Or add any other keywords you like.

Rockhopper had had a decent retrofit bluetooth in his previous car - I can't remember the make but plenty of people on here have mentioned the same brand when they did this. Good luck.

I have an as new 4 spoke Elegance wheel with phone button I want rid off.....

And yes, Johann, my 3 spoker has the thumb bulges!

Oops should have said Rockhopper and your retrofit wheels have them. It is just weird seeing it on a standard wheel!

Johann's link is fairly comprehensive on the Skoda kits that you can get to retro-fit BT handsfree. Fiscon also do third-party kits which integrate with the Bolero: http://fiscon-mobile.com/products/rns_510.php?brand=skoda

If you need someone to fit it for you then Googling shold turn you up someone suitable, eg Motormods, Northern Car Audio and Shark Performance (well spoken of on this forum) to name but three. Northern Car Audio quote a starting price of £369 for a BT kit install; Shark Performance £399 for an OEM BT kit install. Not too bad but still would have been cheaper to order it as part of the build.

Maybe your missus would agree to cover the difference?

Hi

Yes the Fiscon Unit or an OEM unit.

BTW the OP has a 3 spoke steering wheel....they all have the 'bulges'

This thread is in danger of being moved as it is a Skoda ICE question that is generic to all cars, not just Yeti.

Cheers for that guys looks like ill be paying a visit to shark performance then as that seems to the best bet

I take it then that my three spoke MFSW is not suited to operate the phone system but it can navigate the MFD/MAXIDOT

Does anyone know of the Skoda Warranty implications involved with fitting the bluetooth outside of Skoda
