Well done!

I've read snippets about these, but as a new vrs owner have looked no further.

Where does it fit?

On the gearbox or at the gearlever?

Does it remove much of the gearlever travel?

Any pics?

Fits on the top of gearbox. Just simply remove airbox and then there is plenty of room to work. Three clips that need to be taken off and one 13 mm nut. Really easy to do reduces gear stick movement loads. You can download PDF instructions from Forge website including pics. I ordered mine from Awesome about £70 Inc VAT and delivery. A very worthwhile mod.

have a hpa short shift fitted to mine, one of the best mods you can do!:)

Got the forge on mine, fitted around the same as my dogbone mount bushes, transforms the car

Lol if you had power enough to pull that 6th gear then probably looking at 170 mph !

Des and Steves cars both got the 02M six speed in them, tops out around 180ish IIRC?

Although that link is not an 02M just a modification to the 02J box so might not be the same

How much power do you need to pull 180?

As always Rob an excellent pictorial.

On Robs site you will also find some guides for bushings on the gear linkage, if you want to tighten the linkage up further, worth doing IMO
