Any body Looking to buy this car be careful

Featured Replies

Hi all.

I bought this car about 2 months a go and it had a few defects which I will point out to any potential buyers.

skoda website

  1. undertray fell off car
  2. big crack in front nearside bumper underneath
  3. console bushes needed replacing
  4. egr valve leaking
  5. antifreeze weak
  6. battery needed charging

Be very careful with this car if you are looking to buy and have a good look underneath the car.

This car was sold to me with an approved warranty, which makes a mockery of the multipoint check.

I hopes this helps stop someone make the same mistake as I did.

Regards,

Bas

I have to say none of the above seems overly problematic? They all easy to fix and some even common issues with the fabia.

So you bought it two months ago - then what? Handed it back again? There's a good chance Skoda technicians have repaired/solved all the above issues before putting it back up for sale.

For a 5 year old car I think that's a very short list of minor faults, and if came with warranty would have been put right easily after the sale

think he is just trying to give any potential buyers a heads up chaps......

just about any problem can be fixed but i would be very disappointed if i bought from a dealer, especially the common issues as they should be the first things they check.

sounds like the dealer has taken it in, given it a wash and chucked it on the forecourt......ticking the boxes but not doing the checks.......maybe :wonder:

if the op thought he had been misled then i he had grounds to complain to the dealer and they must have known they were in the wrong or they wouldn't have given him his money back.

+1?

Even with defaults being minor you'd expect a dealer to rectify before putting it on the fore court.

sent from my dribble bus using ketchup !
