Tried a BMW now onto a Skoda!

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I am DeDas!

Came to this site as I have herd great things about it.

I have to say I drive A Skoda Fabia 16V saloon, (yeah a granny car) BUT I have to say it drives so much better than any other german car I've driven haha, pleased with my first attempt with a skoda.

I was looking into joining a forum as I normally do with any car I get but got drawn here quicker than I would have gotten around to by my car breaking :(

Any help on my other topic would be greatgul! My Broken Fabia

Great to meet you all finally!

welcome, whart bmw did u have before

I had a 1.8 3 series compact before, was a tidy car.

But loving or loved my Fabia way more

the compact was ok, a bit cramped in the back.

good to see a bmw driver not ashamed to drive a skoda badge..

most bmw drivers (family and friends) that i know of wouldnt buy a skoda despite saying they know it's like vw/audi underneath.

I had a BMW 3 series compact, followed by a 3 series BMW 318 followed by a Fiat Stilo Estate, I traded the Fiat on my new Octy VRs and i personally think my Octy is a far better car than any car i have previously owned.

Badge snobery, I get it all the time, at the end of the day I thought my BMW was a smoother ride I could get until I got this car.

I always admire skoda's they are very underestimated.

BMW are getting way to common, get some sense! Get a Skoda! :D

Hi and welcome aboard.

I had a 320td Compact, a 325i Sport, then a 330d Sport.

Can comfortably say the vRS is the best by a long way..............

Welcome aboard.

My last car was a 2006 330d MSport touring with remap, staggered alloys and everything else it could have had...it was stunning, unfortunately the fuel system wasn't as well built as the rest of the car and cost me £3600 to put right...never again!

Thanks for all the welcomes! :D

Andypandy TFSI, my one had a fuel problem in the end too, but also had another problem of sounding like a lorry for 2 seconds on start up haha...

Hello & welcome fellow ex BMW owner.

Mine was a '09 320d M Sport Auto saloon (wife still got her 316ti Compact though).

Was a big mental step to change to Skoda but hey, I'm no badge snob and so far am well happy with my Octavia. Even committed neighbour BM owners have admired and prefer my estate to their cars!

Early days and too soon to tell yet but all looks good.
