Start of DMF Failure?

Featured Replies

Basically, when i press the clutch in there is no noise or vibrations. But when i let go of the clutch i have a slight rumbling noise coming from the engine bay area, then when i press the clutch in it goes away.

Does this sound like the DMF starting to go?

any help appreciated as always

Cheers

Dan

could be the release bearing making a bit of noise.......if its worrying you then drop in at a local garage, will put your mind at rest :)

May or may not be, dmf fail is often rattly chatter at idle with foot off the clutch and a few other symptoms when it really starts to go!

As said above just pop it into the garage to check :)

Cheers chaps will do

Mine does this when cold but goes away after a few miles, I'm pretty certain in the release bearing :)

Sounds like dmf on its way out

If it was the flywheel I don't see why it wouldn't do it all the time? Plus after its warm it goes

Just drive it with a little consideration mate (Not that you don't already)... No full on hoofing it in 5th or 6th from low revs.
