4x4 Fabia 1 Anyone done it yet?

Featured Replies

Just curious.

I know about the S2000 rally car which is 4x4 but specifically designed as a WRC car but has anyone built a standard Fabia with four wheel drive?

Is it possible?

I'm kind of thinking that Octavia scout running gear would fit with some modification?

Whad'ya think?

Maybe Octavia 4x4 Turbo running gear would be a better bet?

I'd love to 4x4 my Octy TDi. Traction = win. :giggle:

I know of only one in the Czech republic - a diesel vRS based one, using 4mo gear.

There is also a Milotec 1.8T one in Europe somewhere. Think they call it "the dragon"

I would like to do it myself too but if I came into some money I'd be shoehorning the RS4 2.7TT engine in to a fabia with all the running gear (somehow :D)

It has been done, there is a modified diesel one that has been posted up quite a few times.

A lot of fabrication needed, MK1 Octavia would be a better donor but a lot of custom parts to be made up including boot floor and rear chassis to take IRS.

I did start looking into it a while back. If you put the wide WRC arches on a Mk1 Fabia, Audi TT running gear will fit pretty well ;-)

But I assume the OP is talking about the Mk2 Fabia.

He does say "fabia 1" in the title. :)

PS: I went in the Czech 4x4 one a while back. Its come some way since though
