Getting my cruise control fitted soon and there are a few things that I want or need. Like I need my fob recoding and then I'm going to ask for the single button unlock, the beep when unlocked, lazy boy indicators. Are all these doable? And it won't affect/damage anything will it?

Also what other things can be done?

I changed the weight of the steering(increased) so it has a more feel when pushing on.It took about 5 seconds to do.

That's about it really.

You could also turn down the EGR a bit.

If you have access to vds-pro you can get the remote control windows too.

Yeah I saw that was possible, I'm not sure because I would like slightly more weight to it because it is extremely light but how do you code it to a certain weight? Or are there like certain levels?

The EGR is the Exhaust Gas Reirculation valve.

It recirculates the exhaust gasses into the intake to reduce emmissions... and increased the ammount of black carbon entering the engine!

The remote windows works off the normal remote and you just hold the lock/unlock button down.

Don't get the unlock beeps, Too gay and get really old really quickly!

The lock beep is OK though!

Teardrop wipe is in 09 Central Electrics, Cant remember what channel though, Factory set to 5 on pre 07MY Fabia's

You have to install the updated convenience software module

Worth noting, Tear wipering, Comfort indicators both can only be changed on certain years.

Yes sure.

You basically need a laptop with a serial port (no USB to serial as MS-DOS doesn't support anything to do with USB), a serial OBD-2 cable and a copy of VDS-Pro burnt onto a disc. All of which I have.

I have succesfully enabled it on my car with 4 electric windows and also on 2 other Ibiza's that are three door.

For reference my CCM is: 6Q0 959 433E and so were the two ibiza's.

It cannot be done with VCDS as it can't directly overwrite to the eeeprom memory in the CCM.

I already have comfort indicators on mine so will check if I can do the tear wipe. Thanks.

Anti-hijack, locks the doors automagically after you get to 10mph.

Indicators, maybe change momentary or lane change(?!?) from 3 to 5 blinks.

Single button unlock

Lazy boy (convenience) indicator 3 clicks

Beep lock

lock doors after 10 mph

But if I enable this setting along with the beep to lock code then will it not beep when I get over 10mph? Jay

Disable the warning light and beep that lets you know that your bulbs are LED or HID or out.

Interesting reading - I guess someone has had a play around with VAG-COM on my car, previous to me owning it. I've got the 10mph door lock thing and the 3 flashes lane indicator, I find both useful.

Thanks very much for the info If only your were closer, i`d have sorted you some beer tokens to do mine! I`ll have to keep a eye out for the various bits and bobs.
