What cool things can I change with a vag-com?

Featured Replies

I just played about with it, shows you a little box with what the different codes mean when you open up a different type of adaptation.

Okay cheers mate :)

I'm sure someone will corrected if I am wrong but I think it is only the facelift models that have the convenience indicators.

My 54 plate vRS has it.

Wrong my 04 had it

Had no facelift items whatsoever!

Even had the older octy rear vrs badge on it :o

Yes sure.

You basically need a laptop with a serial port (no USB to serial as MS-DOS doesn't support anything to do with USB), a serial OBD-2 cable and a copy of VDS-Pro burnt onto a disc. All of which I have.

I have succesfully enabled it on my car with 4 electric windows and also on 2 other Ibiza's that are three door.

For reference my CCM is: 6Q0 959 433E and so were the two ibiza's.

It cannot be done with VCDS as it can't directly overwrite to the eeeprom memory in the CCM.

I already have comfort indicators on mine so will check if I can do the tear wipe. Thanks.

Phil

This I done on my Fabia (2000) long time ago with VDS PRO:

one more Fabia (2000):

and my brother's Ibiza (2004)

But, so far I found it can not be done on facelift Fabia 1 and Ibiza, even CCM is same.
