First day of the ice and snow, wiper arm gone.

Featured Replies

So walked out to the car at 11:00 this morning got in saw that the front windscreen was clear of snow, frost and ice and without thinking stuck the wipers on. Snap, Crackle and whine. Rear Wiper blade gone, totally busted, and it looks like it's taken the motor with it. Anyway gonna stick the VW Polo flat blade set up on it but need to know one thing. Part no for the rear wiper motor.

The number I have found so far is

1J9 955 711 G

but the only listing I can find seems to suggest this is for the ASZ earlier version Fabia, I own a BLT and whilst I am sure it will more than likely be the same part it would be nice to have a double check.

Simples, Dewiper mod here we come ;)

Check the fuse first. Hopefully that blew protecting the motor.

With Anewman here

It is fuse protected specifically to prevent this

20amp, first yellow big fuse top right hand section, yeah already checked, swearing was done when it turned out the fuse was fine.

Or did the drive spindle shear?
