  • Update: New cupholders! [ Yellow fogs. My sidelights look uber blue in the photos, they're actually bright white LEDs.

  • Well the vacuum problem has disappeared, was down in Dublin watching the rugby on Sunday and the 200mile round-trip didn't do any damage - I guess me changing the vacuum lines caused a temporary hiccu

  • Sprayed the number plate surround, fogs, and grilles again to get them all the same black colour. Looks great, though bumper has a ****load of stone chips that need sorted.

No picture updates, but I fitted shortened drop links and now there's no rubbing at all from the ARB. Also replaced the tie-rod end on the drivers side due to a split boot and that's her sorted for the MOT on monday.

The drop links I ordered can be seen here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170831520629?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_1978wt_1030

I have no affiliation to the seller but think this is a great buy for anyone with a car lowered beyond 30mm.

Haven't had the money together to go for the power upgrades, can't wait to finish Uni and have a bitta money to do these things! What about you? And yea no under tray.

Looks spot on mate, Is the rear skoda badge a stick on or clips?

Have the cooler fitted, good job, not sure whether to spend any more as not sure if I wanna change it or not towards the end of the year

This looks gorgeous! Spraying the front trims is next on my list aswell!

Yea I'm thinking the same, would love a MK5 GTI or a MK2 Leon FR but just not sure whether to change or not!

It's actually clipped in so if you wanted to remove you'd have to fill in the holes and respray that portion.

Thanks! Yea definitely spices up the front a bit.

Just ticked over 71k miles so ordered timing belt kit, water pump and alternator belt off Eurocarparts. Used my Briskoda discount so got it all for £130.

This included £18 postage to Northern Ireland, which I'm not very happy with to be honest as there is a Eurocarparts store about 12 miles from where I live so I think postage should be free as it is with mainland UK.

That aside, I had a local guy fit it all for £80 which brings the total cost to £230 when you include the coolant replenishment. That's an awesome price for what I got and I'm well happy, as *hopefully* the only work I'll need to do on it now will be the yearly service.

That's a lovely motor mate, well done! :)

I've also just got myself a mk1 silver Fabia vRS after having to downgrade from a red mk2 (petrol) Octavia vRS. The first thing i'm upgrading is a new car radio and a K&N pannel filter to let her breath a bit better. :) Welcome to the club my friend :)

Thanks.

Update on changing the console bushes. One of the actual consoles themselves was knackered, it had been bolted to the chassis with an air gun and the threads were wrecked. So had to pay £100 for new console plus the £20 for new bushes - great.

Also replaced my driver side tie-rod end and both droplinks again - this is only 1 year and 12k after previously replacing them. Total cost £30.

So I need 4x new tires for MOT at the end of May then it'll be going up for sale! Gonna change to a MK2 Octavia VRS TFSI, so if anyone's interested and based in Northern Ireland then give me a shout.
