Replacing wing mirror

Featured Replies

Yo chaps,

Are these easy to replace? I have a base and a wire with 2 spades hanging out. *****s. Had the car 5 years now and this has happened. Managed to find one in the same colour for 40 quid which is en route.

Fitting easy enough?

Cheers

Andy

Very easy to do mate, 10 mins max. Remove your tweeter cover( be gentle with this ) there you will see a couple of torx bolts I think t30 is the size. Remove them and it's of. Don't forget to masking tape underneath your mirror on the door incase you drop it while removing it. Will save scratching the door. Also the wiring is just a multiplug

Hi chaps.

Does the door card have to come off slightly to do the wiring from the mirror?

Dont spose anyone wrote a guide for this?

no you dont need to slacken the door card off at all, remove tweeter cover carfully (pull straight out towards you (it has 3 push prongs into clips than can break if you are not careful, then undo torx, undo multiconnecter and job done!

Oh, I thought the multiplug was down in the door somewhere as theres about 6-8 inches of wiring on it.

Well slightly fiddly in the end - ended up taking enough screws from the doorcard/handle and lifting it back - enough to get in and change the wiring plug over.

All sorted now.
