Hi All,

I have just joined and would like to say hi.

I have recently purchased a 2008 Roomster 2 TDI, I had originally bought a Roomster 1 but while my wife and I were waiting on the numpty salesman from Arnold Clark to fill the car he crashed it into the back of someone during an alleged sneezing fit but I think the truth was that it was school lunch time and he was too busy oggling. This ended up going in our favour as we got the current car for the same money and it has alloys, climatic AC, better colour and no roof bars plus the 10 more bhp but it was one whole month of stress.

I have always been a german car fan and have a Beetle in many pieces at the moment, but as my everyday car I have usually had something german aswell. After driving Skodas as taxis for years I decided to get one and I bought a 1999 Octavia with 230,000 miles on it from my then taxi boss as it was finished as a taxi due to age, I paid £400 in 2007 and drove it to and from my current job for a year then sold it as I got an Audi 80 with less miles.

We have recently had a baby so my wife and I looked for something bigger than her Corsa and I had no car at this point and she found and chose the Skoda knowing that I would say yes as it ticked all of my many boxes.

I am looking for a part but I will post a new topic in the appropriate area.

Thanks,

Mike
