I've found a turbo insulation kit on the internet (well actually not one, but a lot).

Do they work?

Is it for heat or noise?

It's for heat.

But seems to me that the intake part of the turbo would get hotter, since the exhaust part doesn't cool down.

Or am I wrong in this?

It won't make any difference to anything since under-bonnet heat isn't an issue on your vRS and it is therefore a complete waste of your money.
