Hi was hoping someone could help me. My dads fabia 1.4 16v has developed a water leak in the passenger footwell and the heater has stopped blowing out of the window/dash vents but is blowing out of the footwell vents only. Anyone know what this could be?

The pollen filter was full of leaves and soaked through so the drains need cleaning out could it be possible that the water and leaves have damaged something causing it to only blow out of the footwell vents?

Could be the motor for the flaps that adjust the flow of air.

Time to start removing trim though I think and look for anything broken or wet!

Cheers pal i were starting to suspect something to do with the flaps after reading a few posts where they were causing problems. An EML light has popped up now aswell could this be linked to the motor for the flaps?

Probably not.

Check all the lights are working. I would see about getting a scan done.
