04 Seat Leon Cupra TDI 187bhp

Featured Replies

Hi guys.

The time has come for me to move on and downgrade my car.

For sale is my Black 2004 Leon Cupra TDI.

Here's some of the spec:

Full Seat Service History, last service was all the filters so next service is just an oil change.

117k miles - in daily use (don't let this put you off, drives like a 40k mile car)

Taxed and M.O.T'd until April 2012.

Has had cambelt changed circa 80k miles.

187 bhp (with printout), this was the safe remap option to optimise fuel economy (car was running 170bhp standard without a map).

Car is currently sitting on 18" RS4's with nearly new Pirelli P Zero Rosso's on the front and Michelin Pilot Sport's on the rears.

312mm front brake upgrade with good discs and pads (essential with the added power).

6000K HID Kit.

Leon Cupra Splitter.

Fabia rear wiper mod.

All 4 doors have been re-sealed for peace of mind, no water leaks.

Front passenger window runners/motors replaced (common fault).

Recently replaced a front wheel bearing (was getting noisy).

The car has full leather seats all round.

front 2 electric seats.

electric folding and adjustable mirrors.

Electric windows all round.

Traction Control.

Cruise Control (cost over £400 to have this fitted after market).

Parrott bluetooth system with microphone and sound comes through speakers.

Climate Control with ice cold A/C (not that you will need it in this weather!).

6 cd changer in glovebox with auto adjusting stereo system to compensate for speed (slight increases in volume as you speed up, decreases in volume as you slow down).

HPI Clear.

Lots of receipts for work carried out on the car.

Viewings are very much welcomed, may consider part ex but would have to be diesel.

Asking for a very reasonable £4,500. A Leon with this spec is hard to come by these days.

The remap alone was £200, brakes another £200, alloys almost £500, cruise control over £400. Going to miss this car.

Car cleans up nicely - excuse some of the dirty pics.

Feel free to p.m me or mob is 07772331829.

how many owners ?

how long have you had it ?

I think the car has had 3 previous owners but I'll double check that.

I've not owned it too long, maybe 9 months or so.

Looking to secure a mortgage.

Missed off the reverse parking sensors.

I also have 4x Seat centre caps which haven't been put on yet.

And you don't have the fabia in your profile anymore do you? :)

Are these a 2.0l? How was it running 170 standard?

  • Author

1.9 the guys reckoned it was a loose one.kinda like how fab vrs are 130 bhp but most of the make around 145.its quite common.nah fab vrs is long gon :( miss it tho.devon hws ur superleggeras?

Are these a 2.0l? How was it running 170 standard?

Nope - 1.9 PD160. The PDs tend to be understated out the factory. ;)

1.9TDi PD 150. I had the later FR model. Great cars

Yep, as you all know the PD engines are superb.

Also the clutch and dmf on the cupra tdi's are higher rated then the petrol Cupra's.

Super clutch that never slips.

Gearbox and engine is immaculate. Well looked after car.

if you've seen the classifieds, the superleggera's are now in. I'll sell the car + the OZ's for £4,800...bargain!

Common fault on these is water leaks in the footwell (see any seat forum).

I have had all 4 doors re-sealed today for peace of mind and also changed all the pollen filter covers.

Totally water leak free. Rear wiper (another common fault) has had the fabia rear mod.

Front wiper soon to become bosch aero's.

Front passenger window runners and unit replaced (stopped working - again common problem).

Anyone who knows about these cars will see that I have covered the main grounds. You will be getting a nice clean Leon fault free.
