New fob time..?

Featured Replies

I bought my current car in August via a Skoda Dealer, so I believe I have 12 months warranty (car is under 6 years old and under 100K)

I have two keys with my car, one brand new untouched one, and the one that has been used (and I continue to use this)

Yesterday, I could not use the unlock button on the key - simply would not work.

I used it to open the lock manually, this was fine.

I then tested the lock and boot buttons - both of these worked fine.

Unlock button completely not working. (no lights flashing for unlock)

I suspect the button is busted (the new key works perfect) - or maybe the fob itself is trashed.

Any ideas on what I can do to try and repair it? Failing that is this something that would be covered under warranty?

Just taken the fob completely apart and assembled and now it's working again.

Assume the battery is on its way out then :)
