BTW, The seller may, I say MAY have been trying to secure a purchase from someone with bog standard steel (Not steal/stolen) Wheels... then the remark about saving fuel, albiet a smaller amount than implied, is plausable!

They would also have less unsprung weight then steelies, improving road holding and helping the car go slightly faster. (This could possibly be negated though, by fitting much larger wheels, that may weigh more and ruin things).

If you want to save more weight, fit magnesium or carbon fibre wheels... Lighter still! And so will your bank balance be!

If an interested buyer can have a look before buy..would confirm whether they are monte or vrs wheels
