pd160 intake?

Featured Replies

hey all done a quick search on this but cant find what im looking for. basically im wondering where is best/cheapest place to get the pd160 intake parts from? and how much am i looking to pay?

cheers, joe.

Any Seat dealer will do them mate, no point going anywhere else like eBay or the likes

Part numbers for you just in case:

6LL 129 621 Trumpet

6LL 129 618 Pipe

(Taken from http://www.fabia-vrs.com/technical-info/handy-part-numbers/)

Although the benefit of fitting a larger intake is largely doubted on here

yer i cant find any on ebay, i actually havnt tried breakers yet for a 2nd hand one. i wont be buying this side of christmas its just for my shopping list ready for a remap and what not.

Yeah could try breakers (Although can't imagine them being all to common in breakers yards, but worth a look I suppose) or look for one that's being broken for spares on a SEAT Cupra owners forum, maybe even try putting up a post in the wanted section on here?

yer i cant see them being that common either, seat cupra site is a good idea cheers. seen some pikey intakes whilst searching the pd 160 i think i could possibly bodge one up if im looking at £90 for a new one.

How much...they were only £40 odd when I bought mine in 2005!

They do make all the difference though, The engine revs a lot better!

yer £90 i have been reading for the trumpet and pipe! its a bit pricey for some plastic.

That'll be supply & demand for you

I feel the old pd160 vs normal one argument coming on! Some speak very highly of the pd160 but for £90 is it actually a worthwhile mod?!

I've got a spare...

I've got a spare...

Do you want to sell it because I will buy it?

Find a mate who works for VW and you can get them for £75 brand new

;)
