One more bulb question..

Featured Replies

I have no issue taking out the bulb and connector from the headlight.. But how on earth am I supposed to remove the build from the connector??

I think they pull off, if past experience with H4 and H7 bulbs is the same as yours.

I tried that but it seemed rocksolid.. Didn't want to pull even more as I felt I would be left with the buld in pieces in my hand.

There is no magic trick of pinching somewhere special or so?

Leave the bulb in the headlight, Brace the bulb with your index and middle finger of one hand and disconnect the plug with the other hand using a wiggling motion!emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Good luck!

I used a screw driver to gently pry the bulb out

I reckon I have to pry the spring clips located on the connector to get the bulb off?

Don't!

Turn the metal clip counter clockwise.

Use a screwdriver to turn it easily

When u have undone the bracket holding the H7 to the housing you have too separate the base of the H7 from the spring metalclip by gently and with some force pull it straight out.

När du fått ut hållaren så är det bara att dra lampan rakt ut med milt våld, kan sitta riktigt hårt. Försök inte ta bort metallclipset.

Cheers that we'll help me no end. Never thought about it, but seems sensible now, as there is bugger all room on the right hand side to get a hand in to turn the bulb.

:)
