Hello to all Briskodians from a recently-joined member.

My name is Martin and I hail from near Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire. My car is an 11-reg (late March) Superb Estate CR 170 in Elegance trim and Rosso Brunello with a few optional extras including front parking sensors, heated front screen and washer nozzles, and powered tailgate.

The car is my company car (I'm a Director of and shareholder in the company) and is on a 3-year contract hire from Lex Autolease. I chose the Superb Estate in preference to another Honda Accord Tourer - I'd previously had two Tourers, 54- and 57-reg, and was generally very satisfied with them but when I examined and test-drove the latest-generation Tourer I was put off by the significant reduction in its load-carrying capacity compared to the earlier model. When I did a side-by-side comparison of the Superb Estate and the latest Tourer there was no contest in many respects!

I took delivery of the Superb at the end of March and have been extremely impressed and pleased with it; the only niggles to date (apart from me wrecking a rear tyre by kerbing it only a few days after I got the car!) have been the failure of the bonnet release a couple of weeks ago and the plastic red/white lens of the courtesy light in the bottom of the driver's door falling off a while back. Both of these problems were remedied last week at Blade Skoda near Gloucester.

I've just bought a set of steel rims (7J x 16) plus RIF trims from Blade and a set of Conti TS830 205/55 R16 94V winter tyres from Oponeo and will hopefully get these fitted onto the car tomorrow (22nd Dec).

I've already found a lot of useful stuff in the various fora and will perhaps be able to make occasional contributions to help others!
