Octy Bluetooth

Featured Replies

Hi evertyone

I've recently bought myself my third Octavia after having a bit of a sebatical from the Marque. I bought myself a FL 59 plate Octavia Vrs DSG. I was interested in this model as it had the factory installed bluetooth which i really wanted. However after buying the car and trying to pair my iPhone 4 I have found out it isn't compatable with my system. I beleive the GSM III kits is? but can any of this be retro fitted to my system to allow it to work with my iPhone.

Thanks in anticipation

You will need to swap out the bluetooth unit which is fitted under the seat. Have a look around on fleabay for one of these part numbers 3C8035730B or 5N0035730D these units support practically all phones.

Thanks for the info, guys. Is the module under the passenger seat or drivers seat. If its the passenger seat do I need to take the storage box out to get to it?

Under the driver's seat. Original fit will be covered in a piece of carpet I think.

Hi

under drivers seat. easy to remove the cover (slides in). then unscrew a few screws to release the unit from base plate and unplug the unit from the connector (carefully visualise how to release the adapter).

on a loosley related topic, I use my iPhone4 as a phone through the cars Bluetooth and there is an option to listen to media via bluetooth (not that there isnt enough music (20gb hard drive & SD Card slot)

I got it to work once - but now it doesnt.

anything obvious Im doing wrong? or cant it do double bluetooth (phone & music)
