I'd double check mate then go for some compensation especially if they charged the £400 or whatever it is and get a cheap vinyl fitted for £100.

As for the scratch try some auto glym super resin polish, bin the t-cut!

Or find someone with a machine polisher, when I got mine it was in a bit of a state, the roof that is, I gave it the once over with my dual action polisher and it came up like new.

But if you've never use one best to get a bit of practise first before you tackle yours

Yes I would be a bit worried about using a machine polisher as I saw the state my neighbour left his car in after he used one.

The main roof has got a metallic look, the tops of the doors (from handles to sills)are just gloss black which I think is vinyl as this is where i had it on my last car and it got very tatty. It is really when you look around the hinges on the hatchback that it doesn't look right.

Yes thats the same as mine then, metallic roof and the A & B pillars are not i think the A pillars are just black plastic but the B's do seem to be different again, The worse bit of the damage on mine was on the A pillar, as if someone had been washing it with a brillo pad lol.

Try super resin polish though as it contains mild abrasives and fillers so if your not to keen on the really abrasive polishes this will fill the get rid of most of the marks and fill he bits it can't.

The new VRS 61 plate onwards are vynal wrapped.... skoda are abit shady about it but i think its to do with the complaints of overspary from the roof to the car.
