What I need to know is, what can I do about it? I cant glue it back together tho as it broke up, It was really brittle so its in 4+ parts.

Now will this work and is it pos to use the carkas of it and the internals from the std one?

I will call TPS this week to see what a Genuine one is.

Cheers

Billy

Just swap the internals with a standard one, will cost very little compared to £300 for a new one

mmm, so the lens splits down then?

I noticed some metal clips on the lens, look like they hold the back with the clear lense.

Does the mirrors part come out?

is it a really simple thing to do.

Does it require putting it in the oven like the Octavia ones?

Billy

I`ll ask my mate who done it, I know he just used a hair-dryer to split them and it was all fairly straight forwards. He was using a smashed xenon light`s insides to go into his normal headlights.

Ah rgr mate,

cheers,

If it is the same outer it sounds like the best option.

Billy

You've only just got the car mate! Feel for you :(

mmm, my own fault tho, they work spot on. even without the front bracket.

I knew about the Fog. again it work so nothing major.

The brakets are not the strongest by the look of it and they are 8 years old if you go by the date stamp on them.

There is a guide on here showing you how to paint the internals, shows how to remove the lens etc.

Thank you mate, ill have look for it now.

That foglight is the wrong type!

If you can't get another back for your headlight just use some black silicon to attach the broken back into the car, that's what I did with the wife car when she hit a seagul and broke the fixings of the headlamp, never been any bother since and if you need the light out again you can just cut it out with a Stanley knife.

cheers mate, I had wanted to do that but it broke up. there is only the flat part that screws on to the front of the car, there is a section missing that I can only find a few small parts of it lol.

I am sure Ill get a backing tho.
