I am in the middle of trying to sort a deal for a miltek cat back system , hoping to get a deal done asap.

Couple of q"s

Firstly can i just get the flange cut of my standard cat and slide the miltek over and clamp it down so to speak ?

Secondly i have seen a few de cat pipes on the bay is this of any use ?

My miltek is of poor quality.

It keeps on moving on the connectors and the welds have split on the back box due the long overhang of the tail pipe on the octy.

This is a full system 2.75in with high flow cat.

I'd ring em pal, after all it is gaurenteed for life (if you purchased it)!

Mine was fine, fit perfect, good build quality, nice sound (cat bk non resonated) never had any bother in the 3 1/2 years it was on the car

If its a new system it'll fit straight to your cat. If its 2nd then you'll need a reducer as it'll be bigger than the standard system.

Why pay that much for a de cat down pipe? They can be had for £100 elsewhere on ebay.

That one was the only one I had seen on the bay will try and find another , where would I get a reducer from ?

Ah ok many thanks was unaware others fitted , are these just as good then .

Next questions are obviously and mot failure ? Yes

Once this is fitted to my miltek will it run fine but throw the eml on ?

And the only way to stop it is with a re map is it ?

i know there a bit pricey,i was lucky as one of my mates was part exing his vrs for a tt so i swapped my standard dp for his sports one!
