Just picked up some cheap Thule 591 roof mounted cycle carriers for my Mk1 VRS estate, and now I need some roof bars to attach them to my factory fitted roof rails.

I'd prefer some aluminium ones if possible, lockable and reasonably cheap would be a bonus too, any recommendations please?

Just out of interested how much did you pay for your 'cheap' 591's these are a fortune in Halfords and the likes! I got the same ones and are brilliant carriers! Can not fault them at all...
