Have a problem with my speedo! The speed reads fine, but the actual mile and trip part doesn't increase!

I know these things are run by cable, but why should these be out of sync? A gear gone in the clocks maybe?

the gears have failed in the speedo, possible causes are the car has been clocked (mileage altered in the past) or just mechanical failure. Your only solution to get it working is to replace the speedo.

Do you know how to remove the fascia, I've found one screw behind the panel on the right but don't want to force the front out in case something breaks.

There are 5 screws,

1 behind blanking plate

1 behind cover between vents

1 behind left button blanking

1 behind right button blanking

1 behind blanking next to fog button
