locked out

Featured Replies

Hi forum

I have managed to lock my only set of keys in the boot of my octavia. The RAC cannot confirm the colour coded wire to pop the boot via the boot loom. They also tried to power up the car via the reverse light switch which worked, but did not power the electric windows.

Does anyone know which colour wire i can put a 12 volt power to, which will pop the boot ??????

I would just smash a window!

Edit: if you do try to pop the locks it might be more difficult as I think (but not sure) the dead locking is actived everytime time the car is locked?

correct unlike other cars where you press it once for a normal lock and twice for deadlock its the other way round on skodas and i think all vag cars

2 presses of the key fob dead locks the car, 1 is just standard lock.

i understood it was just the one on my fabia its deadlocked on 1 :S

Deadlocks on one button press (flashing red LED).

Double press de-activates deadlocks, so people locked in the car can still get out for example. Not sure if the LED goes solid or off when you do this.

I did this on New Year's eve, got local locksmith out and hey picked the drivers door in about 3 minutes (had a special lock pick for HAA style locks).
