Leak

Featured Replies

My Mum bought a 11 yr old Skoda Felicia Pacific from a local garage in Plymouth (UK)she is having a problem with a leak. The drivers footwell is very wet and the water appears to be coming from the area directly above the pedals. Has anyone come across this and know how to solve this. The garage has tried to solve this leak once. If anyone can help please let me know so I can let the garage know.

Common problem, do a search - I believe the solution is to remove the windscreen and drill a small hole in the appropriate place in the scuttle to let the water run out. Paint/rustproof the drilling and then refit the window. Jim (felicia16v) has done many of these and says it's the only way to go, and I would believe him!

The leak that I had was with the windscreen seals around the bottom corners. There was a hole there but it caused water to leak in and build up. Lifting up the seal with fingers revealed this hole and sealing it fixed the leak :)

Is it only on the driver side corner? I've also got the leak. Did a long drive yesterday and managed to dry out the sponge lining with the heater blowing in that area.

This morning it was sodden again!

mine leaks too on drivers side must be a problem on them all lol

Ah, my leak was with the passenger side and it hasn't leaked since I sealed up the passenger bottom corner.

But I agree leaks on it are a common problem :(

Started to where wellies now when i drive mine lol woust thing is trying to keep screen clear when you wanna just nip to the shops

Yeah I understand that feeling.. Even after the leak was sorted.

Took out my sound deadening under passenger side and it stunk of being wet and was still pretty soaked!

That should hopefully fix the worst of the steaming!

:)
