winter time sucks

Featured Replies

Car is full of muck 90% of the time, no time to clean it in between down pours, take it to the power wash at petrol station to try and get it lookin somethin like and end up blowing one of my wheel badges off! Then when the water finally dried it looked worse then before. Roll on summer

I know what you mean. Got loads of cleaning goodies for my Christmas and haven't been able to use any of it yet.

I've given up until the weather improves. Think I'll see how dirty I can get it.

pfft! i spent 3 days over Christmas detailing the fabia, weathers pretty mild atm, once its got some decent wax on and its at a good standard its easy to keep on top of with a weekly clean :)

My car is collecting dirt like a badge of honor lol.

Treat it bi-weekly to a slave wash haha ;)

I live down a muddy lane, and its just mud no road under it and tractors going up and down all day... this is my first winter there :'( I dont like it. I have a hose pipe right out side the drive so when im home I can give it a quick hose, but it still look like turd.

Even in the summer with the wind as its just a house on a field the wind blow the dust on my car then it rains and then its just look like a muddy pile of dump again.

I've given up. The car will get mucky so quickly again, especially my black one, that I don't bother. My hands get too cold washing it and polish/wax won't dry in low temperatures anyway.

I washed it at the beginning of December and not bothered since.

I also have a few loose flags on my drive which after a down pour splash a load of muddy water all up my wings when I drive over them no matter how slow I drive

+1!

I kept one half of the Polo clean last year (not polished, just rinsed) and the other left to get dirty. A massive! difference soon shows through - esp. after a motorway blast.

Looking forward to summer too so the car actually stays clean for a while !

It's completely pointless washing it with living out in the sticks !

For a comfort wash use a bucket of warm/hot water and a washmitt. Lovely. The heat will cause any wax to deteriorate faster though....
