VRS Estate Engine Soud Deadening

Featured Replies

Hi folks

I managed to get a copy of the Jan 2003 Auto Express review of the octy estate. I noticed in pics that test car had sound deadening under bonnet. My Sept 03 does not, I questioned this with Skoda dealer who sold it to me in a phone call and he said he checked another, he also said did not have it. What's the answer should it have or not have sound deadening?

Elegance Estate - none.

Thanks Guy's

Wonder why only fitted to test car then? Same car also timed at 7.5 Sec 0-60 MPH.

Cheers

Hugh

As far as I know, the sound deadening only comes on diesel models.

Yep me furbies got it

The engine/gearbox skid plate for diesels also comes with a sound deadener whereas that for the petrol-engined models doesn't.

I asusme the sound deadening from a diesel would fit my petrol??

Less weight - better fuel economy.
