No EPC or Check Engine Light in the dash

Featured Replies

My dash has no EPC light or check engine sign.Few months ago I had problems with ignition module and one coil ,the car was running badly but no light in the dash, nothing

No sign of one of these when turn the ignition either.

Is a 2001 Octavia 1.8T Elegance facelift

Bulb blown maybe?

Or if you're not the first owner, maybe someone removed the bulb previously.

I don't know how hard it is to pull apart the dialset and check the bulbs - probably quite a difficult job I'd imagine

No.I'm not the first owner,The first owner was Honeywell Garret Romania (yes, those who made the turbochargers)

I bought the car with full service history.

Is possible that the car wasn't equipped with EPC light?

If you car is cable throttle it won't have an EPC light. If it's drive by wire it should have an EPC light.
