I'm looking for 6 speed gearbox for my Fabia 1.8T. My friend has one from Leon Cupra.

I heard that I have to buy 2 gearbox, one from Fabia vRS, one from Leon Cupra, and make a hybrid with Fabia housing and Leon ratios. It also need a custom bearings.

Is it true ?

I have a 240mm Sachs Performance clutch with solid flywheel and Fabia vRS driveshafts. Engine mounts is not a problem.

As far as I'm aware, the housing is the same for all 02M-style gearboxes, it's just the ratios that differ for different cars (i.e. diesels have different final drive due to the short powerband, some boxes have shorter ratios than others, etc). Pretty sure that if you get the Leon Cupra box, it'll just bolt straight up as it would on an actual Leon.

Fabia vRS gearbox is not 02Q ?

Pretty sure it's 02M, 02Q is the 6 speed from 2.0TDIs I think?

Leon Cupra box will mate up to a 1.8T, should fit to the Fabia using vRS mountings.

Can somebody tell me what's the difference in housing between 02M and 02Q ?
