Vredestein Ultrac Cento

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!

I'm after some advice.

I currently have 4 x Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tyres fitted to my Octy vRS (well not right now as I have winters on, but you know what I mean!), however I hear that the new Vredestein Ultrac Cento tyres are even better. Does anyone have these fitted or experienced them on a car? Prices are the same as the Sessanta, so is it worth giving them a go when I'm due to change?

Cheers!

[/quo The sessanta's are a better tyre. Check ot the reviews. I think the one i read was from Evo car. Those sessanta's are very very good so i'd stick with them.

Cento's are quieter and better on fuel, they are sharp on steering on my mazda 6 and decent in the wet. More of an all rounder than the sessantas. Had the sessantas on all 4 corners of my A3 v6, great in the wet as I'm sure you know. more of a performance tyre. Better the devil you know, if you're a spirited driver then stick with the sessantas, if you fancy a change, why not, but I wouldn't expect them to be better performance wise, just a little more refined.

Checked on the Vredestein website (http://www.vredestein.co.uk/Onlineadvies_Advies_result.asp?AutomerkID=168&AutomodelID=24&AutotypeID=7631&AutouitvoeringID=270332&SearchtypeID=1&UserSessionID=67467463) and for the Octy vRS TDI they recommend the tyre pressure to be: front 2.9bar and rear 3.4 bar! This seems awfully high to me as I'm currently running front 2.0bar and rear 2.1bar. This can't be right, can it?

Check out this months EVO magazine - cento's did very badly. Seems to not be a patch on the earlier sessantas.

Strange how a tyre company could get it so wrong?

Would that not be a statement of maximum tyre pressure?
