Replacing VRS Front Wishbone

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have just had an MOT on my Fabia and it has failed on the front wishbone bushes! I have some poly bushes coming, but I am pushed for time and I am looking at replacing the whole wishbone and then keeping the old one and replacing the bushed on that for the new ones for future use.

I have searched the forum and cannot find any info on replacing the whole wishbone as opposed to just the bushes (quite alot on that). I am basically trying to find out hints and tips from people that have done it before so I dont come up against something I'm not prepared for...

What tools are needed? 18mm, 19mm and 13mm?

Do I need to replace all the bolts and nuts? If so does anyone know the Part Numbers?

Anything to note before taking the wishbone completely off?

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Hey.

I think the wishbone sits in the bushes, so this won't actually save you any time..

Lots of info on here on fitting - search away!

We're both right!

Wishbone sits in console bushes, and wishbone has some bushes in too.. It's the console bushes that'll prob cause you grief:

Yea I know the console bush is there, I'm not interested in changing that, all the guides show changing the bushed with the wishbone still fitted and I dont have the time to push bearings out hence why I'm looking to change the whole wishbone and do the the others while the wishbone is off.

The guide will guide you.
