If they are that good then why are you all holding onto your old ones? :giggle:

Still looking Gizmo?

PM me your details - one from the Fabia & one from the Yeti here you can have!

Well the light turned up this afternoon.Had to use a needle file on the opening-seems to be 4 small 'lips' which gave the old unit a snug fit, filed them down,a little filing at the bottom and the LED replacement is in nice and tight. Can already notice the difference in daylight, will wait until tonight to get the full effect.

Thanks to Mike and Robin I now have all the lights I need, just got to order the plugs for them and I can get some extra light into the TT.

Cheers guys

Interesting. I would however want something else. On the Golf V5 the light in this position has a red top three quarters and a white lower quarter which shines down on the floor as you open the door. Perfect in my book. But alas that lens does not fit in the Yeti. I've checked. I like the all white but would want red there too. Perhaps cover it with red film? Or email Superskoda to ask them to modify it? Hmmm.

OK resurrecting a very old post but Google makes it easy to search for these things...  anyway I was hoping to get a light in the door that shines red to the back for other cars and white on the floor when you want the light. The puddle light in the mirror shines on the WRONG side of the door, has about one candle power and is utterly useless. You want white light on the inside of the door.

I now see Škoda has finally seen the light of day on the new Superb:

White light down and a red lens facing back!

Simply clever  er, what one would hope for as standard.

Well it was standard on even to most basic Golf 4 way back in the 1990s...  VAG just forgot what good things they had already invented.

Let's not forget that the various brands under VAG do operate with some autonomy. It's not all one sausage machine with a different label at the end.
